Tina O'Brien and Ryan Thomas emotional as daughter turns 13 and is mum's 'double'

Tina O'Brien and Ryan Thomas have said that they are feeling emotional as their daughter Scarlett turned 13.

The former couple, who starred together on Coronation Street, have celebrated Scarlett becoming a teen with photos which they shared on Instagram.

The 38-year-old actress, who plays Sarah Barlow on the cobbles, shared a moving video of Scarlett through the years, with pics from her baby scan to newborn and toddler snaps.

In the montage, there are pics of Tina with baby Scarlett in her arms as well as a pic of her with little brother Beau.

Tina's husband, Adam Crofts, is also seen pictured with Scarlett, who fans reckon is the spitting image of her mother.

Tina captioned the video: "Oh my heart, how is my little girl 13! Happy Birthday my darling Scarlett."

And she added: "Right ok can time slow down now please?"

Former Corrie favourite Ryan, 37, who played Jason Grimshaw in the Weatherfield based soap, also shared pics of the birthday celebrations for Scarlett at Rosso restaurant.

Ryan wrote: "Happy 13th Birthday to my baby girl."

He then added with a wailing-face emoji: "My daughter's a teenager."

They were joined by Ryan's fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh and their baby boy Roman, who they welcomed last March.

Ryan's brothers Adam and Scott along with their mother Gail, as well as Adam's children Teddy and Elsie-Rose were also at the birthday celebrations.

Speaking on his Mancs on the Mic podcast with his brothers, Ryan said that he is having to learn to juggle having children from different relationships.

He said: "I know I’ve got Scarlett (who) I have to keep going back and forward for…

"That puts a strain on our relationship because I’m not with her [Lucy] because I’ve gotta get back for Scarlett.

"There is that trying to find a mix of making both work and working out where you’re going to end.

"I think eventually I’d like to be in Manchester with both my kids, but at the moment it’s having that help at hand in London it’s just easier, but I think eventually I would love to be back where I started with all my brothers and all our kids.

"I think that’s what’ll happen eventually but we’re just taking it a day at a time. I think that’s what you’ve got to do with this family life."
