Their MC-ing was widely acclaimed as a breath of fresh air in the stuffy, awkward world of awards-show hosting. So it's no surprise that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been signed up to repeat their stint as hosts of the Golden Globe awards for 2014 and 2015.
Fey, the Saturday Night Live graduate who went on to write Mean Girls and play a key role in TV show 30 Rock, and Poehler, perhaps best known for the lead in cult TV series Parks and Recreation, took charge of the Globes last year, and were hailed for making their audience laugh, rather than simply cringe. They replaced British comic Ricky Gervais, who had taken the mic for the previous three ceremonies, and have a two-year contract.
The 71st Golden Globe awards will take place on 12 January 2014, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
