Timo Werner sends warning to Premier League rivals after goal streak for Chelsea

Timo Werner admits he has already started to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League after his bright start to the campaign.

It took the Germany international a little while to get his first goal in England, but now he has bagged four league goals and another three in the Champions League.

The 24-year-old has been a regular for Frank Lampard since the beginning of the campaign, playing up top or off the left.

In his last four games for the Blues, Werner has bagged five goals, while he scored another brace for his country in their Nations League win over Ukraine on Saturday.

And the Blues forward admits he has now fully adapted to life in the Premier League and that should come as a warning to their rivals.

"Teams use long balls more often in England but obviously you get stronger when you’re playing against strong opponents," Werner said.

"You see space differently and that helps in the national side too.

"It does differ as the coaches have different ideas of how to play football but I’ve definitely got more used to the physicality.’
