Timo Werner replacement, Kai Havertz admission and latest Liverpool rumours rated

The Coronavirus pandemic might have stopped football but it will never stop the transfer rumour mill.

And while we might not know when football will resume or when the summer transfer window will ever re-open as FIFA re-jig their calendar, Liverpool continue to be linked with a whole host of talent.

In today's edition of transfer rumours rated, Theo Squires weighs up the latest Reds gossip and separates the wheat from the chaff.

WHO?

Timo Werner. Are we really doing this? Liverpool have been continually linked to him for the past two years for goodness' sake.

You've probably even spent some of lockdown watching his goal compilations on YouTube. You know who he is.

WHERE?

Reports over in Germany claim RB Leipzig are close to signing a replacement for the rumoured Reds target.

According to Weser Kurier, Milot Rashica, also linked with Liverpool, is on the verge of leaving struggling Werder Bremen.

The report claims that a £33m transfer to Leipzig is imminent, with an announcement possible later this month.

WHAT?

Not really sure how any side can complete a transfer this month considering current global circumstances but there you go.

Werner looks set to leave Leipzig and Rashica looks set to leave Bremen. Could be, could be, but don't expect any such movement just yet.

WHO?

Kai Havertz. I'm not doing this anymore, I've had enough.

You know who he is too!

WHERE?

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has basically admitted the German will leave the club any comments from him eyeing a move are no surprise.

In an interview with Bild, he said: "The fact that Kai will eventually leave Leverkusen is a logical development.

“I am not surprised that [moving] abroad attracts him.

We know what he feels very comfortable with us, we are in constant contact with Kai – everything is open and transparent."

WHAT?

Well he's going to go at some point, isn't he? The 20-year-old has been linked to most of the top clubs in Europe afterall.

However, Leverkusen might have to re-think their rumoured asking-price of €100m+.
