'Timo Werner is typing!' - Chelsea fans troll RB Leipzig after Champions League exit

Chelsea supporters have been reacting to RB Leipzig's Champions League semi-final defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Bundesliga outfit were one of the surprise packages in only their second appearance in the competition this season, overcoming Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid to reach the final four.

However, their dream of reaching the final were ended on Tuesday night as goals fromMarquinhos, Angel Di Maria and Juan Bernat sealed a comfortable 3-0 win for the Ligue 1 giants.

Premier League opening day fixtures 'leaked'

Of course, Leipzig went into the game without their top-scorer this season, Timo Werner, who sealed his £47.5m transfer to Chelsea at the beginning of July.

And the absence of the Germany international proved to be crucial, much to the delight of some Blues supporters.

Having been trolled by RB Leipzig on social media following the FA Cup final loss against Arsenal, fans have been handed the perfect chance to respond.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...

Speaking after the game, Julian Nagelsmann admitted his side were simply outclassed.

"At the end the ticket for the final for PSG is well deserved," Nagelsmann told BT Sport. "[The] first 10-12 minutes we played well. PSG has so much quality and at the end they were the better team, but football is sometimes like that.

"We had to decide before the game if we wanted to attack early. In the first 10 minutes we had three or four good moments and made two or three big mistakes.

"When we conceded the second goal the belief of our players drained. At the end it was a question of character and we did well in the second half.

"It is not that easy to think of the good season but after a week it will be OK.

"We are a young team and will try to do it well in the next season. The players can come back and we can try for the Bundesliga and the cup."
