Timo Werner backed for Man Utd transfer as Lionel Messi's Chelsea prediction proved right

Rangnick plots Werner move

New Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick is reportedly interested in making a move for Chelsea forward Timo Werner as he eyes recruits ahead of the January transfer window.

The German managed his compatriot during their respective periods with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and according to Bild is now considering taking him to Old Trafford.

Rangnick is set to be in charge at Old Trafford until the end of the season and will then take up a consultancy role with the Red Devils.

Messi proved right about Mount

Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi is set to be proven right about Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

The Blues academy prospect has become a key cog at Stamford Bridge over recent seasons and opened the scoring against Watford on Wednesday evening after finishing well-placed in the Ballon d'Or list.

It is something that Messi already envisaged.

He said: "Having watched him play, he has the potential to be one of the best."

Reece James sends fan message

Whilst the Blues ran out victorious on Wednesday evening at Vicarage Road, there was a very worrying incident with a fan being involved in a medical emergency.

With the game halted by the referee whilst the stricken individual received attention, Chelsea defender Reece James took to social media to give his best wishes.

He wrote: "MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAN NEEDING MEDICAL ATTENTION," with a praying emoji and a fingers crossed emoji.
