'Time traveller' The Chase contestant Libby, 19, causes disagreement among fans

The Chase contestant Libby convinced fans she was a time traveller - but they couldn’t decide which era she was from.

The well-spoken 19-year-old appeared on Wednesday facing chaser Shaun Wallace.

The history and politics students turn answer a series of questions from host Bradley Walsh, but viewers were distracted by her vintage-style blouse.

Some thought that it was definitely the 80s she was from. On Twitter Giuseppe Stromboli said: “Libby looks and dresses like the final girl out of an 80’s horror movie.”

Kevin Mills added: “Libby belongs in an American movie from 1986.”

Some were impressed by her posh accent. Graeme Hunter said: “Libby - a future Prime Minister. Nearly as bright as what we have just now.”

InlandEmpire777 said: “Aw man, poor Libby. Still, she’s got class and manners and they’re permanent.”

Rather than the 80s, many seemed to think she belonged in the Victorian era.

MissLionHeart added after her exit: “Back to the early 20th century for you, Libby.”

Carl Lilley said: “Libby on #TheChase is definitely a time traveller, looks like she was born in 1924.”

Frank Millar added: “Hi Libby, where are you from?” .... 1932.”

Michael MM thought it was more recent, adding: “Watching Libby ,if you put your t.v to monochrome you could feel your back in 1953.”

Kyle Sewell thought she would have been the perfect colleague to a current throwback MP: “Libby would fit in with Jacob Rees mogg as an MP.”

Sadly Libby didn’t make it into the final chase, as she was beaten by Shaun.
