‘Time to drop the really big bomb’: Elon Musk goes full savage and ties Trump to Epstein

In a shocking social media post that’s already gone viral, Elon Musk appeared to confirm one of the internet’s most controversial conspiracy theories: President Donald Trump is allegedly named in the sealed Jeffrey Epstein files.

“Mark this post”

“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out,” Musk wrote in a reply to a post viewed more than 24 million times as of June 5, 2025. The original post claimed: “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

The implication is explosive. Despite years of speculation and ongoing legal battles over the release of the Epstein documents, there has never been official confirmation that Trump is listed in the unreleased materials — until now, if Musk’s cryptic statement is to be believed.

Musk and Trump’s escalating feud

Once cordial, the relationship between Musk and Trump has recently turned icy over Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” particularly after Musk resigned his post as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). That feud now appears to have entered a new phase, with Musk potentially aligning himself with critics who claim that Trump’s name has been deliberately hidden in connection to the Epstein scandal.

What are the Epstein files?

The “Epstein files” refer to a trove of sealed court documents and investigative material related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died under mysterious circumstances in jail in 2019. While some names — including those of Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and others — have been publicly linked to Epstein through flight logs, photos, and testimonies, much of the official evidence remains sealed due to ongoing litigation and privacy concerns.

Advocates for transparency have long argued that the files should be made public. Critics allege that powerful political and financial figures are being protected — a claim that gains renewed urgency with Musk’s statement.

Trump and Epstein: a controversial history

Trump and Epstein were photographed together multiple times in the early 2000s, and Trump once called Epstein a “terrific guy” in a 2002 New York Magazine interview. However, Trump later claimed to have cut ties with Epstein and denied any involvement in his criminal activities.

Now, with Musk hinting at hidden truths, the pressure to unseal the Epstein files may intensify — and so might the political fallout.
