Time's Up ditches black dresses in favor of bracelets and ribbons on Globes red carpet

It's been a year since the Time's Up movement sent Hollywood a powerful message via black dresses on the Golden Globes red carpet.

This year the organization's TIMESUPx2 campaign has taken a different approach, opting for subtlety and downsizing its presence to a variety of accessories, including ribbons, bracelets and pins.

It's not hard to sport a pin on a jacket lapel or a bracelet under a long sleeve _ which Ryan Seacrest did and promptly raised some eyebrows _ but it's more of a challenge for gowns.

Gina Rodriguez, star of "Jane the Virgin," got creative with her ribbon on the red carpet on Sunday, tucking it into the back of her light blue gown.

Similarly, Jillian Roscoe, Lena Waithe's publicist, incorporated her Time's Up ribbon into her ponytail.

The Time's Up movement has already paved the way for change in Hollywood, according to actress and activist Alyssa Milano.

"To see this sisterhood has been really life-changing," Milano told The Times, "just to have that perspective that we're in this together."

And yet, for some on the red carpet, black is still the color of choice.

"The Chi" creator Waithe said that she opted to stick with black because "there's still work to be done."
