Time is ticking before Amazon's Prime Day ends: Last chance to get £90 off the Galaxy Watch5

There are only a couple of hours left before the discounts we've seen at Amazon come to an end, as it closes the door on its Prime Day deals for yet another year. Before the time ticks past 23:59 we've found a last-minute deal on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.

It's another offer on the South Korean brand to grace the Prime page, giving shoppers £90 off the latest Galaxy smartwatch or the smallest model in the 2022 range. Dropped from an original £289, shoppers can now pick it up for £199.99.

It means between now and 23:59 tonight (Wednesday, July 12) the online retailer beats Samsung at its own price as the own-name brand is selling the exact same model for £239. Although shoppers must note that once Prime comes to a halt it'll no longer be the cheapest place to check out the Galaxy Watch.

This is because Amazon's original price is set at £289 falling above Samsung's current £50 discounted offer, it certainly is the battle of two retailers and timings will depend on exactly just how much shoppers can save. And this years Prime event has not been shy to fluctuate prices..

We saw this with the launch of Amazon's Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra deal, where the smaller 128GB model was cheaper to buy over at rival retailer John Lewis, but Amazon's price on the 256GB version blew John Lewis 'out of the game'.

Smartwatches have quickly become popular tech devices as features outperform those of the typical 'normal' watch, from sending messages, receiving calls and a number of health tracking features they do a lot more than telling the time.

When does Amazon Prime day end?

As one of the retailer's biggest shopping events of the year, falling behind Black Friday, this year's 2023 Prime Day is set to finish at 23:59 today, Wednesday July 12. With a full run-time of 48 hours, the deals have been endless, but keen shoppers are advised to keep an eye on the site even once the event has closed.

Lightning deals, outlet offers, and Prime membership deals on Amazon Music or Prime Video are common to see throughout the year. The site also has a specific voucher section, where shoppers can find 'coupon codes' to apply at checkout all year round.

The next huge sale event from the retailer is not expected to fall until this November, along with all shops around the world, as the autumn Black Friday deals hit. Who knows, if it's anything like March we could be in for a surprise sale event, just like we got with the sudden 2023 Amazon Spring Sale.
