Time will air its second episode on Sunday night as some viewers rush to binge the whole thing.
The latest TV masterpiece from Cracker and The Lakes creator Jimmy McGovern, Time kicked off on BBC1 last weekend and had viewers immediately hooked.
While uncomfortable and harrowing viewing, Time has been heralded as one of the best British dramas for years, with lead actors Sean Bean and Stephen Graham singled out for particular praise.
Sean, famous for previous roles in the likes of Sharpe and Goldfinger, plays a well respected teacher who ends up behind bars after a costly judgemental call on a night out ends with him killing someone.
On the other side of the bars is ex Line of Duty star Stephen's character, prison officer Eric McNally, who is forced to shockingly break the law himself to protect his son.
Sean and Stephen aren't the only well known faces in Time's cast, they are joined by Sue Johnston, with the former Royle Family actress playing Sean's on-screen mum.

Speaking about the show on Friday's This Morning, Sue Johnston said: "For me, what I got out of it when I read and watched it, was the claustrophobia of it all; being trapped.
"Who do you go to? Who do you trust? You have to find a way of living life in there. There's nowhere to hide and nowhere to run.
"You're trapped in this cell and this atmosphere and you have to protect yourself."
