He's one of the nation's most celebrated actors, but Time star Stephen Graham is also a hell of nice guy.
The star, who's also known for Line of Duty and This is England, offered to adopt his co-star in the Shane Meadows films, Thomas Turgoose, after the young actor's mother died of cancer, reports MirrorOnline.

The film was made back in 2006 when Turgoose was just 13 and he told podcast, Private Parts, recently: "My mum passed away from lung cancer after I finished filming This Is England. She never got to see the finished film."
Director Shane Meadows dedicated the film to the actor's mother and Turgoose, now 29, added: "Stephen Graham promised my mum he’d look out for me. Everyone involved in This is England are family to me."
Still just a young teenager, Thomas was set to go live with his father but didn’t know him very well.
He explained: “When my mum died I moved in with my dad and I didn't know him, so Shane Meadows and Stephen Graham were going to adopt me if things didn't work out with my dad."
Before he got the job on This is England as Shaun Fields, Turgoose revealed that he was on a bad path, and added: "I was destined for prison. Shoplifting things I didn't need. There was a hardware store in Grimsby that I used to steal spray paint from for no reason."
He starred in This is England as well as the follow-ups This Is England ’86 in 2010, This Is England ’88 the following year and This Is England ’90 in 2015.
