MINNEAPOLIS _ Don't ask how, just ask how many.
The Timberwolves extended their home winning streak to 13 games with Sunday's 111-106 victory over a Sacramento team that refused to go into the good night until the final seconds.
Trailing by three points with fewer than eight minutes left, the Wolves made three consecutive 3-pointers and three times built a five-point lead the Kings could never quite overcome.
They tried, though.
Trailing 103-98 as the final seconds ticked away, Sacramento guard Buddy Hield's 3-pointer brought the Kings within 108-106 with 10.8 seconds left.
But when the Kings were forced to foul, Jimmy Butler made both his free throws with 7.5 seconds left and Jeff Teague made one of two for the final five-point margin.
The Wolves haven't lost a home game since Phoenix beat them on Dec. 16.
In that time, they had beaten Denver in overtime, defeated Cleveland 127-99 after they had the great LeBron James and the Cavaliers by 41 points and beaten Toronto as well.
After trailing by as many as 10 points and leading by as many as five, the Wolves turned a 93-90 deficit with fewer than seven minutes remaining into a 96-94 lead after they made those three consecutive threes with 5 { minutes left.
Wolves center Karl-Anthony Towns made the first, his second of the night after his club-record streak of 10 consecutive made 3s ended with his final shot at the buzzer Friday night in Chicago.
That tied the score at 90 before Kings veteran forward Zach Randolph scored put Sacramento back ahead by two.
Teague answered with the second of those three 3s to give the Wolves a 93-92 lead with 6:12 left.
When Randolph answered back again, Jamal Crawford made the third of the three 3s and the Wolves led 96-94 with 5:26 remaining.
