While the Houston Rockets are focused on their current playoff run with Game 2 looming on Wednesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves are eyeing a front office executive in Houston for a position in Minnesota.
Rockets Vice President Gersson Rosas has been a name mentioned in the Timberwolves’ search for a new president of basketball operations. Minnesota has already asked for, and received, permission to interview him.
Rosas has had his name pop up in searches like this over the years and this could be a nice fit for him.
Rosas was in the running, recently, for general manager positions with the Charlotte Hornets and the Philadelphia 76ers and now he is in the running for the Wolves’ position.
He did have a three month stint as general manager of the Dallas Mavericks in 2013 so he does have a little experience at the position.
On the court, the Rockets face off with the Utah Jazz on April 17 at 8:30 p.m CST from Toyota Center. They currently lead the series, 1-0.
