Timberwolves agree to two-year deal with Jordan Hill

The Timberwolves have taken another step to add frontcourt depth.

The team has agreed to terms with forward/center Jordan Hill on a 2-year, $8 million contract according to several reports.

Now the team could be set with big men. Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng have been joined by Cole Aldrich and Hill.

Hill, 29, has played for four teams in seven NBA seasons, mainly as a reserve. Last season, with Indiana, he appeared in 73 games, started 11 and averaged 20.7 minutes, 8.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

The additions of Aldrich and Hill raises questions about the futures of frontcourt veterans Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic, both of whom have struggled with injuries.

With the move, the Wolves have around $14 million left under the salary cap, but are approaching the cap minimum. The team is still in need of a backup wing player.
