Tim Travers And The Time Traveler's Paradox Premieres At Cinequest Film Festival

Hunter Schafer's Horror Film 'Cuckoo' Set To Premiere At Berlin Film Festival

Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox, a sci-fi comedy film directed by Stimson Snead, is set to make its debut at the Cinequest Film Festival in March. The film, which wrapped filming in early 2023 in Spokane, Washington, boasts a star-studded cast including Felicia Day, Danny Trejo, Keith David, Joel McHale, and Samuel Dunning as the titular mad scientist, Tim Travers.

The storyline revolves around the Time Traveler’s Paradox, where a scientist creates a time machine to kill their younger self, leading to a series of paradoxical events. Tim Travers, a reclusive mad scientist with a mission to confront God at the end of time, embarks on a wild adventure filled with challenges, black holes, cloning, and universe destruction.

The film has garnered attention after participating in the Berlinale’s European Film Market and receiving marketing and distribution support from Guerrilla Rep Media. Prior to its full-length version, a short film adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Paradox was released in 2021, also starring Samuel Dunning.

Director Stimson Snead expressed his unique take on time travel narratives, emphasizing the exploration of extreme comedic scenarios rather than traditional emotional themes. The film's selection in various film festivals, including The Mysticon Film Festival and The Los Angeles Sci-Fi Film Festival, has generated anticipation among audiences.

In an interview with a local Spokane station, Snead highlighted the film's underlying message of self-acceptance and self-love, using time travel as a metaphor to delve into the character's psychology. The director's vision of embracing the character's flaws and journey towards self-discovery resonates throughout the storyline.

Audiences at the Cinequest Film Festival will have the opportunity to experience Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox on March 9 and March 13 at the Hammer Theatre Center in San Jose. The film promises a blend of humor, sci-fi elements, and introspective storytelling that aims to captivate viewers.

For those eager to witness the eccentric world of Tim Travers unfold on the big screen, tickets and additional information about the screenings are available for purchase.
