The Philadelphia Eagles’ bid to liven up the off-season hit new heights on Monday, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter reporting that the quarterback is working out with Chip Kelly’s team.
Tebow, one of the most high-profile college players in decades, has been out of the NFL since being cut by the New England Patriots after pre-season in 2013. However, the Eagles have been revamping their quarterback corps, with Nick Foles traded to the St Louis Rams in a deal that saw Sam Bradford arrive in Philadelphia. The Eagles also re-signed Mark Sanchez, who was on the New York Jets with Tebow the 2012 season.
While Tebow’s college career was successful his pro record was mixed. Although he led the Denver Broncos to a playoff victory, he completed just 47.9% of his passes in the NFL.
Tebow has worked as a college football analyst for the SEC Network during his hiatus from the NFL.
