Tim Tebow struck out against a position player who had never pitched in minors before

Tim Tebow’s first season with the Triple-A Syracuse Mets hasn’t been a great one.

And he might have hit rock bottom on Tuesday night.

Tebow, who deserves all the credit in the world for chasing his dream of playing in the majors, has struggled with the Syracuse Mets. He’s hitting a team-worst .161 in 39 games, though he did have his first Triple-A home run a few weeks ago.

During Tuesday night’s 16-2 rout of the Buffalo Bisons, Tebow stepped to the plate and faced Jordan Petterson, who usually plays 1B/OF but made his pitching debut because of the blow out.

And then he struck Tebow out. Looking.
