Tim Tebow reportedly buys $2.99M home in Jacksonville

Earning a minor-leaguer’s salary hasn’t deterred Tim Tebow from making a major-league purchase.

The former Heisman Trophy winner, NFL first-round pick and current Syracuse Met purchased a home in Jacksonville, Fl, for $2.99, the Jacksonville Daily Record reports.

Per the JDR:

Tebow paid $2.99 million for an almost 8,300-square-foot, two-story house on 1.49 acres, according to the deed recorded Tuesday with the Duval County Clerk of Courts.

The five-bedroom house was built in 2016. It has a wine room, home theater and entertainment room, saltwater pool, outside living and entertainment spaces and a five-car garage, among other features.

Tebow bought a home in the same gated community, Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club in South Jacksonville, in 2014. That one cost $1.4 million.

Tebow is engaged to South African model and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. T.

He suffered a setback on the field this week, suffering a cut that required eight stitches after a ball hit of one of his hands.

“He’ll be out for as long as it takes to heal, get back on track,” Syracuse manager Tony DeFrancesco said Tuesday. “It’s just kind of in an awkward spot between his index finger, his ring finger and pinkie.”

Tebow had his Double-A season in Binghamton cut short last year with a  broken bone in his right hand. He is hitting .163 with four homers and 19 RBI with 98 strikeouts in his first season in Triple-A.
