Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has warned his former club and their new manager Jose Mourinho that Harry Kane could look to move away from North London in 18 months.
Kane's future has consistently attracted speculation, with Real Madrid and Manchester United previously linked with a big-money swoop for the striker, and he has made it clear he wants to win trophies.
Now 26, Sherwood believes that the next 18 months are crucial for Spurs and their striker, as he believes that he will look to seal a transfer if he remains without a trophy at the end of next season.
"All professional footballers now are going to be rich when they finish, even bad ones, they’re all going to be millionaires. But you want trophies, you want to say what you've won at the end of it," he told BeIN Sports.
"He needs to win something. I think he’ll give it a period of time, certainly next season to see if they can get closer to winning something and if they don’t, then he will leave."
Kane has suffered defeats in two cup finals with Tottenham, losing in last season's Champions League final and in the 2015 League Cup final to Chelsea, when Mourinho was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
