Tim Peake spacewalk: Live footage as British astronaut begins work on International Space Station - latest updates

Tim Peake has become the first ever Briton to walk into space, during a history-making jump out of the International Space Station (ISS).

Major Peake ventured out of his temporary home to help repair a broken power unit, from 12.55 GMT on Friday.

Along with colleague Colonel Tim Kopra, the two left the space station for a six-and-a-half hour mission to make repairs to the outside of the station.
