Everton icon Tim Cahill announced his retirement from football earlier this week and has shared a heart-warming post with fans.
The former Australian international will hang up his boots at the end of the month when his contract with Indian side Jamshedpur ends.
In the message which was shared alongside an adorable picture of Cahill as a youngster, he wrote: "The most powerful thing is chasing your dreams, as a kid all I ever wanted to be was a footballer.

"It's been amazing to have played the game I love professionally for 23 years.
"I want to say thank you to everyone that was a part of this journey. Time to retire and more family time."

The 39-year-old scored 68 goals during his eight season tenure at Goodison Park.
