Everton are bracing themselves for summer transfer window interest from the likes of Manchester United in regards to star midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
But Everton legend turned occasional pundit Tim Cahill has opened up on what the Toffees must do to retain the talented 29-year-old.
Gueye joined Everton from Aston Villa in 2016 and is arguably at the peak of his powers at the moment after a fine season for Marco Silva's men.
His strong displays in the Everton midfield have led to reports of interest from Man Utd but Cahill insists there is a way that the Toffees can ensure he remains at Goodison Park.
"He (Gueye) is a big part of Everton's success. He is a brilliant player and every team needs someone like him," Cahill told Sky Sports. "It's just the way he goes about the park.
"Of course he is going to be in demand but Everton have to attract big players to keep him at the club. He is going to hopefully be a big sign of what's to come at Everton in the future."
