Tilly Ramsay to miss Strictly Come Dancing final after catching Covid-19

Tilly Ramsay will miss the Strictly Come Dancing final this weekend after testing positive for coronavirus.

The 20-year-old, who narrowly missed a spot in this year's quarter finals, is the third dancer to have confirmed they won't be returning for the reunion dance on Saturday (December 18.)

It comes as reports say the show is in 'chaos' with Covid outbreaks, injuries and an alleged backstage 'feud' plaguing the all-important final.

Taking to social media on Wednesday (December 15), Tilly said: “So sad to be missing the Strictly final - but sadly have tested positive for covid so will be watching from my sofa and cheering on the amazing finalists from home on Saturday night - wishing everyone lots of love & good luck.”

It comes as comedian Robert Webb confirmed he also won't be returning, after he quit the show fearing he had bitten off more than he could chew having recently undergone heart surgery.

He announced on Instagram: "The producers understood that when I had to stop, I had to stop completely… the offer of one more dance was politely declined.”

Professional dancer Karen Hauer has also been forced to pull out of the final due to a nasty knee injury.

Due to her injury Karen will not dance at the Strictly finale or the Christmas special, which means we won't see the Strictly star perform on the famous ballroom dance floor until next year.

It is uncertain whether AJ Odudu will be able to perform in this week's final, either.

The presenter is a fan favourite to win, but after suffering an injury so severe it made her vomit, her hopes of winning the glitterball trophy are hanging in the balance.

"I suffered some traumatic injury to my ligaments [and there's] a lot of inflammation," AJ told Janette on It Takes Two this week.

"I'm surrounded by great medical team helping me get back on my feet."

Strictly Come Dancing the 2021 Live Final airs on BBC One on Saturday night at 7pm
