With December fast approaching, many people are debating whether to put up their Christmas trees but with the cost of living crisis, some fear they can't afford the extra cost this winter.
As energy prices continue to rise, one social media user has shared a "genius" hack to help keep costs low on Christmas decorations.
Shanny Alderwick has been praised for her inexpensive craft giant baubles that look similar to expensive decorations bought in-store. The 7p method, shared by Shanny on Tik Tok, shows people how to create the baubles that appear to "cost a fortune".
Demonstrating her craftsmanship, Shanny created a video to show how she uses balloons to give the effect of giant ornaments. The video has been watched over 420,000 since it was posted, the Mirror reports.
The TikToker captioned that post "Metallic balloon hack" and claimed the hack has people telling her "I bet all of your giant baubles cost you a fortune". The stunning silver and navy themed Christmas tree has been decorated with metallic balloons which have been placed throughout with other ornaments.
After the clip blew up on the social media platform, Shanny updated a second video to talk users through the process. She said: "Don't want to spend loads of money on giant baubles?
"Buy metallic balloons from Amazon and blow them to the size you want and place them in your tree, thank me later."

A packet of 100 metallic balloons costs £6.99 on Amazon, meaning each hand-made decoration would cost less than 7p to make.
Users flocked to the comment section to discuss how the new hack would help them this Christmas, with some describing it as "game-changing".
"Genius," one person gushed. A second exclaimed: "This is brilliant!!" While a different user penned: "This has blown my mind." And another wrote: "Game changer!"
Meanwhile, someone else shared a suggestion: "You should spray some hairspray on them to make them shiny!"
