TikTokers Have Spotted A Bunch Of Shitty Editing Fails In The Half-Assed She’s All That Remake

The She’s All That reboot, titled He’s All That, was released over the weekend and it was met with mediocre reviews (surprise, surprise).

Not only that, but fans have noticed a bunch of crappy editing fails, which is pretty disappointing considering how much dosh Netflix has. You’d think they could fork out for quality content, especially when they’re tampering with a classic!

In one TikTok, the user points out that the lead actress, Addison Rae (well, she’s actually an influencer ~pretending~ to be an actress) is legit “handing out air” instead of flyers.

In another scene that was shared by a different TikTok user, you can hear Addison Rae’s character Padgett Sawyer saying something, but her lips aren’t even moving.

They must’ve edited in additional lines after the scene was filmed, but they popped them in during a moment where she clearly was not speaking.

Awks…

I only watched this for Matthew Lillard’s 5 minutes of screen time #hesallthat #hesallthatnetflix #addisonrae

He’s All That is copping an absolute rinsing from the critics, with The Guardian opining that the script “plays like an adult man’s approximation of Gen Z tropes,” which is basically a fancy schmancy way of saying that it’s very ‘How do you do, fellow kids?’

Meanwhile the New York Times said that it “lazily rehashes the original but without its endearing weirdness,” perhaps referring to the gender-flipped plot, the inclusion of OG stars Rachel Leigh Cook and Matthew Lillard, as well as the remixed (read: butchered) soundtrack highlight from the original, ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None The Richer.

One of my personal gripes with the flick is the fact that they’ve clearly tried their darnedest to pique Gen Z interest by casting an influencer (Addison Rae) and a reality star (Kourtney Kardashian), but the only problem is that neither of them can actually act.

So what we’re left with is a sloppy remake with cheesy dialogue and an awkwardly paced story that was doomed from the start as the filmmakers clearly cared more about making headlines with its popular but unqualified cast than producing a decent film (hence all the editing fails).

This movie is to She’s All That what Mean Girls 2 is to Mean Girls: a dodgy remake that we must never speak of again.
