Agent of chaos Katy Perry has gone viral again after savagely knocking down a Labubu handed to her by a fan during a Lifetimes Tour gig Down Under.
Without a doubt, Perry’s career has been jam-packed with controversy. From *that* space flight to the whole “Woman’s World” fiasco — it’s been quite the doozy.
Most recently, the “California Gurls” singer was filmed angrily knocking down a fan’s Labubu during a Lifetime Tour show in Perth.

In a TikTok captured by Ellie (@ellietaraa), Perry was seen walking towards fans, TimTam tray in hand, while singing the heartbreak ballad “I’m Still Breathing”.
Amongst the screaming fans, one person was seen waving one of those iconic Labubu blind boxes. Perry then seemingly locks on to the Labubu box, steps down, and smacks the box out of the fan’s hand with her mic.
“I’m still — NO LABUBUs!” she belted before crouching down and offering TimTams to the audience, urging them to use “gentle hands”.
Footage of the Labubu brutality went gangbusters on TikTok — clocking more than 157.2K views — with the fan coming forward with the box in the comments, with the punter writing, “omg this is the Labubu she slapped”.

In response to the Labubu hullabaloo, Katy commented under Ellie’s video with three devil emojis, expressing no remorse in the anti-Labubu stance.

What are Labubus?
For folks who are not in the know, the Labubu is an adorable little creature from Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung‘s The Monsters series.
Shortly after the storybook’s publication, Pop Mart came out with a bunch of trinkets based on the adorable character, and since then, folks have been buying it up like toilet paper during COVID-19. It’s even got to a point where scalpers have clocked its popularity and are now charging a shit tonne for the furry accessories.
While we’re not too sure why Perry ain’t fond of the creatures, it’s no secret that folks are DONE with seeing the Labubu hype.
