TikTok viewers in tears as Labrador ‘sends’ new pup to watch over owner in emotional clip

A TikTok video has left viewers sobbing after a dog owner shared a touching tribute to their beloved late Labrador.

When their Labrador Joe sadly passed away, the owner welcomed home French bulldog Kevin - and in the heartbreaking clip posted by @kevin_the_frenchie , they imagine a conversation between the pair.

“She talks about you all the time,” reads a caption while adorable Kevin is on screen. “And she misses you a lot.”

The video then shows elderly chocolate Lab Joe, with the caption: “That’s why I sent you to heal her heart. Take care of her for me.”

Kevin and Joe’s owner admitted that they were “bawling” making the video, and urged people in their comments to “cherish every single day with your fur baby.”

Thousands of TikTok users were moved by the emotional video, with owners sharing their tragic experiences of losing their own beloved dogs.

“I know how much you miss him,” one person commented. “My Maxy, same story and a chocolate [Labrador]. I can think of him now without crying, sometimes.”

“Our animals ’ hearts can go on living longer than their bodies,” another said. “I miss all mine watching over me.”

Others acknowledged the bittersweet experience of getting a new puppy after losing a dog.

“This made me cry so hard,” a third person admitted. “I’m in this same boat. Just got a new baby after losing my previous one back in June.”

“We lost our boy in March to lymphoma,” another added. “And he just sent us a new boy who needs extra TLC.”

Kevin and Joe aren’t the only dogs who have left TikTok viewers in tears lately.

More than three million people were moved by an uplifting video of Rottweiler Pluto, which showed how it might look to have your dog greet you in the afterlife.

Captioned: “You arrive in heaven, this is how your best friend greets you,” the emotional clip shows Pluto bounding through a field towards the camera in slow motion, a happy grin on his face.

“I instantly started sobbing watching this and thinking about that day,” one person commented on the tear-jerking video.

“Tears in my eyes - I really hope this is true,” another added.
