TikTok video shows teen launching hawk out of moving car in ‘drive-by attacks’ on birds

A teen who catapulted a fearsome hawk out of a moving car, throwing it into the path of other birds, has been slammed online.

The owner of the bird of prey has been sharing clips to TikTok, holding the animal tight before lobbing it out of the vehicle.

Using the account @huntingwithhawks, his first video was uploaded on Sunday and it was captioned: "First day out with the bird this season."

It saw the hawk seize another birds a split second after leaving the car like a bullet.

TikTok added the warning: "The action in this video could result in serious injury" following complaints, racking up nearly a million views.

But a follow-up on Monday caused an even bigger stir with 14 million watching - and some were furious at what the pair were doing.

After throwing the bird out of the fast-moving car, the pair stop and retrieve the hawk before repeating the stunt.

The videos appear to have been filmed in the UK, but the location has not been revealed.

While some were impressed, it all led to questioned about whether the bird could hurt a person.

The pair were also branded cruel for their treatment of the animals.

The owner responded to one angry user: "This hawk was trained by my brother it knows what to go for for and [what] not to go for it will not harm children."

He later put in the comments "next videos we should have a seagull".

His explanation didn't stop others hitting out at the video, which has seen calls for its removal from the social media platform.

One wrote: "Why is he doing a drive by with birds?"

Another said: "Nope, that is just wrong."

A third posted: "Never in my life did I think I would see drive by falconry."

But one defended them, saying: "It's in their nature to hunt this is what the bird does for fun obviously the owner knows that."
