A video posted on social media app TikTok shows queues for the summit of Mount Snowdon in North Wales.
The video posted this week by TikTok user northernexotics, which has over 400,000 views, shows adults and children waiting in line to reach the very top of the mountain.
A voiceover on the video says: “After seeing this you will not want to go up Snowdon this summer.
“Have you ever seen a carnival just like this? Check it out– this many people on a Monday”

Richard, who runs the northernexotics account as well as a YouTube channel, said: “I'm up and down snowdon a fair bit recently with goals of time trials and completing every route up to the summit so I've seen my fair share of summits to date.
“This trip was planned on a Monday with expectations of a fairly quiet summit; however I was greatly mistaken.
“I’d travelled the Watkins path both up and down the mountain on this occasion.
“With it being busy on the summit there was a fair few occasions where people were trying to get to the trig point the wrong way by skipping the queues which caused some amount of aggression by queuers that had been in the queue for over an hour along with this there was what I would consider a large amount of litter caused.
“On the flip side there was a lot of families with young children about. It was so nice to see families spending quality times together making memories, that's what the summit is all about for me. Achieving memories that'll last a lifetime.”
There are six main walking routes to reach the Snowdon summit.
During summer months, the paths can all get busy, with a long wait to reach the summit.
