TikTok trick lets you 'stitch' two videos together - here's how

It’s the go-to video app for many of youngsters around the world, and now TikTok has launched a new feature called Stitch.

The editing feature allows you to clip and integrate scenes from another user’s video into your own.

TikTok explained: “Like Duet, Stitch is a way to reinterpret and add to another user's content. It allows you to respond and riff off another person's video, without having to go to the trouble of creating an entirely new one from scratch.

“You can show off your cake-baking skills by stitching a video of your creation onto the end of someone else's baking tutorial. You can add your own incredible goal to the end of someone else's football fail or even add your edit to another creator's comedy skit.

“Hit Stitch and you can do just that and more.”

How to make your own Stitch videos

1. Open the TikTok app, find a video you'd like to Stitch, and hit the “Send to” button.

2. Press the “Stitch” button.

3. Select up to five seconds from the video. You can trim the clip to your preferred duration.

4. Record an original beginning or ending to the Stitched clip.

5. Start Stitching together your videos to give your videos a fresh twist.

Users can also decide in their settings whether or not to allow others to Stitch their content.

Simply go to Settings > Privacy and scroll down to Safety.

There you can change who can Stitch with your videos.
