TikTok takes Trump to court over app ban

TikTok has asked a federal court to block the Trump administration from banning it on app stores. Initially delayed by the US government, the download ban could go into effect next Sunday after President Donald Trump threw a deal between TikTok's Chinese owner ByteDance and US giants Oracle and Walmart into doubt, refusing to accept any Chinese ownership left in a new US subsidiary. Plus, California has set an ambitious goal to ban the sale of new petrol-powered cars in 2035, as a step towards becoming carbon neutral.
