TikTok star Francis Bourgeois tries out Merseyrail

TikTok train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois shared clips of a recent trip to Merseyside.

The 22-year-old took his first ride on Merseyrail, sharing the experience with his 2.7m followers on the video sharing app. Francis, real name Luke Magnus Nicolson, started his Mersey journey at Liverpool James Street station- before riding the train to Sandhills.

Francis has amassed a huge following of fans, creating content mainly based around trains. However, he recently revealed that as a teenager, he attempted to supress his love of trains, in an attempt to "fit in".

Commenting on the area surrounding Sandhills station, the London-born content creator said: "The views from the platform show that it's quite an industrial area, and was probably even more so in the past."

The train enthusiast then commented on a "peculiar" looking train, fully covered in cartoon versions of the Beatles. After attending a secret gig from artist King Krule- Francis then hopped back on the train at Sandhills.

The video has already amassed more than 240,000 views since being uploaded to the app at around 8pm on Sunday December 11. Many people in the comments shared their thoughts, with some unaware that the city even had an underground railway system.

One user said: "Wow, never knew Liverpool had an underground."

While another added: "I love Liverpool, underrated city and lots to do!"
