TikTok influencer, 20, vanishes as mum launches desperate hunt for missing daughter

A mum has launched a desperate call for help in a bid to find her missing daughter, in a case she says is 'just as important as Gabby Petito.'

TikToker Lateche Norris, 20, vanished after 'frantically' contacting her mum, Cheryl Walker, on a stranger’s phone nearly a month ago.

Her mum said she was concerned for her safety after the missing woman had a fight with her boyfriend, who cannot be contacted.

Cheryl has now launched a social media campaign to help find her after the last contact on November 5 in San Diego, US.

In a post on social media she said: “My daughter is just as important as Gabby Petito. As if what happened to that sweet girl wasn’t heart-breaking enough.”

Gabby Petito's body was found in a remote area in Wyoming on September 19, and a post-mortem confirmed she had been strangled.

She had uploaded videos to TikTok (facebook.com/lateche.norris.16)

Brian Laundrie, her partner, was also found dead after he shot himself before his remains were partially eaten by alligators, medical examiners said.

In a heart-breaking appeal for help Cheryl said of the missing woman: "My daughter, my baby, my mini-me, is missing. If you have any information...please contact the San Diego Police Department."

According to the New York Post Cheryl said her daughter left for San Diego on November 1 to be with her boyfriend, Joseph “Joey” Smith.

She claims her daughter’s boyfriend had recently left a rehabilitation facility and was since living street homeless.

The mum said the young couple, both reportedly aspiring tattoo artists, had fought the day before the disappearance.

After a phone call from a stranger's phone on November 5 she hasn't been heard from since.

She said her daughter asked her to send her Smith’s phone number to find out where he was before promising to call her back.

She said: “I let her go so she could call him, and I say ‘You call me back! I love you.’ The last words my daughter said were, ‘I will, Momma, I promise I love you more.’"

The missing woman’s family were reported to have said they have tried a number of times to reach Smith since the but their messages are left unanswered.
