Over the weekend, TikTok's most famous duo met for the first time ever in real life, after making dozens of videos together from afar.
Tatayanna Mitchell, better known as "the real tati" on TikTok, flew from Michigan to New Jersey to spend the weekend with fellow social media star Devin Caherly.
Tati downloaded TikTok about a month ago and has since become famous for her duets, where she joins another pre-recorded video and acts out a response. She also has a separate cooking page, where she shares recipes.
When she started dueting with Devin, TikTok became quickly obsessed with the pair's videos. Devin is most famous for his POV videos, where he pretends to be characters in scenes he makes up and then encourages other users to duet with him.
Since they began collaborating, TikTok viewers have watched their imagined courtship and they both gained more than two million followers who are invested in the romantic comedy storyline they've created on the app, complete with a meet-cute and even a wedding.
After their videos took off, Devin said that if his video got a million likes, he'd fly Tati out to New Jersey so they could make videos in real life. The video quickly accrued likes and she booked her flight - and he did Venmo her.
During her short visit, they've posted plenty of content together, including a proposal and dance videos with young fans who found them in her hotel's parking lot.
Devin posted a YouTube video of their first meeting, with many fans calling for them to kiss and asking if they were dating in real life. The video quickly received more than 100,000 views with fan accounts posting about it.
They've even received their own fan name, #Tevin, with merch to match.
Tati then posted her own YouTube video with Devin, where she said they've known each other for about three weeks.
She also said her first impression of Devin was that he was "very much shy...very much nervous," while he said he was "just nervous and excited at the same time."
