TikTok family recreate iconic football scenes from Arsene Wenger red card to Bruno Fernandes volley

Supporters still can't watch football in person, but one family has been delighting fans on social media with creative takes on big moments past.

The Tedeku family have been posting witty recreations of goals and other big iconic moments since the season restarted on TikTok and Twitter.

The videos - shot in the back garden of a house - make full use of the facilities available, with a trampoline serving as a place for "goalkeepers" to dive, and a mat letting "goalscorers" perform extravagant knee slides in celebration.

As befits TikTok, the clips are tightly shot, with no seconds wasted. And they come complete with the actual commentary for the games, giving the videos a mix of a back garden feel and big game atmosphere.

Among the goals joyously recreated by the family are a recent strike by young Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood against Aston Villa, an exquisite volley by his team-mate Bruno Fernandes against Brighton and a goal by the Liverpool midfielder Fabinho against Crystal Palace.

Emmanuel Tedeku told the Standard: "It all starts from the events that happen within football. For us, the goal is to find elements of either excellence or humour within the football moments. From there, we can get to brainstorming as to how we’d like to add our influence on it.

"These videos take roughly two-six days to make - we aim to shoot a football moment a day. We find out that we work better on shorter shoots as we exert ourself better."

Asked how they came up with the idea to make the videos, Mr Tedeku said: "The idea was just created randomly. I couldn’t even tell you how - our house is like a creative warehouse. Things like this essentially happen everyday. Football moments is just one of the many things we decided to pick up and run with."

And it's not just goals the family recreate, either - the team recreate other big football moments, including the controversial sending off of star United midfielder Paul Pogba for holding up his hand to protect his face from the ball.

They also did a version of legendary Wycombe Wanderers' striker Adebayo Akinfenwa's comments on his team reaching the Championship through the play-offs this season.

But perhaps the best video was a recreation of former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger being sent to the stands after complaining too heavily of a decision going against him in a game against Manchester United.

The stand-in for Wenger in the video stands on a flat roof on the house while two of the children recreate the iconic scenes of jubilant United fans heckling the Arsenal boss.

And if you're interested in the long and arduous creative process the team go through in order to recreate the goals, they also post behind the scenes videos walking fans through the choreography of some of the videos.
