Tight end Will Dissly leaves Browns game with left Achilles injury

Seattle Seahawks tight end Will Dissly suffered a left leg injury Sunday in Cleveland and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Browns.

Early in the second quarter, Dissly was running a route and collapsed after what appeared to be a non-contact injury. He was helped up off of the field and into the medical tent by trainers before he was eventually carted off to the locker room for further evaluation.

Dissly’s injury has now been confirmed to his left Achilles tendon.

The loss of Dissly, who has been quarterback Russell Wilson’s go-to target this season, is devastating for Seattle and the second-year tight end. Dissly had succumbed to a season-ending patellar injury last year Week 4 in Arizona but had returned in top form through five games played in 2019.

Coach Pete Caroll is expected to have an update on Dissly’s status during his postgame press conference following the matchup.

As of this post, the Browns lead the Seahawks 20-12 near the bottom of the second quarter.
