Tight end Will Dissly emerging as the unicorn of the Seahawks offense

Seahawks tight end Will Dissly is still riding high after the team’s victory over the Los Angeles Rams Thursday night. Seattle, at 4-1 on the year, is now chasing the unbeaten 49ers to take control of the division.

Now in his second season and fully recovered from the torn patellar tendon that ended his rookie campaign, Dissly is off to an impressive 2019. Through five games played, the tight end has logged 23 receptions for 262 yards and four touchdowns.

Emerging as one of quarterback Russell Wilson’s favorite targets, Dissly is emerging as a very strong candidate for the Comeback Player of the Year and the unicorn of the Seahawks offense.

After a mini bye over the weekend and Tuesday off, Dissly finally had time to ponder the question.

Dissly sits behind only Tyler Lockett for the most Seahawks receptions on the season. If he can solve the age-old mystery of the unicorn, he’ll undoubtedly jump to the top spot.

The Seahawks resume practice Wednesday as they prepare to face the Browns Week 6 on the road in Cleveland.
