Tight end Kahale Warring excited to work with Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson

Houston Texans draft pick Kahale Warring looks forward to the prospect of working with Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The Texans’ 86th overall pick should know. After all, the 22-year-old tight end apparently got a chance to work out with Watson in the past in the Los Angeles area.

“I’m thrilled,” Warring told the Houston media on a conference call on Friday after the conclusion of day two of the 2019 NFL draft. “I actually got a chance to catch a few passes from him in the past. I think he’s an unbelievable player. I can’t wait to get with him and start working on things.”

What Warring truly appreciates about Watson, who led the Texans to an 11-5 record, an AFC South division title, and recorded a 26-9 touchdown to interception ratio with 103.1 passer rating, is his ability to lead men.

“I think he’s such an unbelievable leader,” said Warring. “He was at Clemson and I know that transitioned right to the Texans right now. So, I’m thrilled to get working with him.”

Warring collected 51 passes for 637 yards and eight touchdowns in his three seasons with the Aztecs.
