Three-time Richmond premiership coach Damien Hardwick has penned a new contract that will keep him in charge of the Tigers until the end of the 2024 AFL season.
Already the longest-serving coach in Richmond's history, the Tigers on Thursday night confirmed Hardwick has signed a new three-year contract.
Hardwick was due to come out of contract at the end of this season.
After beginning at Punt Rd in 2010, the new contract will extend his tenure with Richmond out to 15 seasons.
Hardwick has led the Tigers to the past two premierships after Richmond broke through for their first flag in 37 years back in 2017.
His win-loss records stands at 145 wins, 104 defeats and three draws from 252 matches in charge.
Hardwick passed the legendary Tom Hafey's record for most games as Richmond coach in last year's qualifying final.
"As a triple premiership coach, Damien's success at our football club speaks for itself, and we are excited that he will continue," Richmond president Peggy O'Neal said.
"Damien is a wonderful coach, and he is a winning coach, but more than that, he is a fantastic leader for our group. He invests a lot into our players and supports them with incredible loyalty.
"A single season, never mind 12, always throws up its challenges, but Damien has shown an excellent ability to reflect and react to deliver outstanding end results.
"Damien is constantly looking to improve us as a football club and himself as a coach."
