Tigers call up Buck Farmer as Daniel Norris goes on DL

The Detroit Tigers have placed left-handed pitcher Daniel Norris on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain and recalled right-hander Buck Farmer from Triple-A Toledo.

Farmer, now in his fifth stint with the Tigers this season, has started 10 games with Toledo and has a 1-4 record with a 6.42 ERA.

Prior to Monday's game, the Tigers placed right-handed pitcher Jordan Zimmermann on the 15-day disabled list with a right neck strain, retroactive to July 1. The Tigers recalled right-hander Dustin Molleken from Toledo to take his roster spot, and he made his major league debut, throwing two innings and allowing one run on three hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
