- Tiger Woods had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket and was “sweating profusely” while being interviewed after his crash on Friday, according to a newly-released sheriff’s office report.
- Woods, 50, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Florida after crashing his Land Rover. His eyes were bloodshot and glassy and his movements slow and lethargic, deputies at the scene noted in a Martin County Sheriff’s Office report released Tuesday.
- The report says the golfer was traveling at “high speeds” on a beachside residential road in Jupiter Island when he clipped a truck in front of him, causing his Land Rover to roll onto its side.
- The sheriff’s office noted that Woods showed “signs of impairment” and when asked by a deputy if he took any prescription medications, Woods said, “I take a few.”
- Woods told officers he was distracted by his phone and radio at the time of the crash. He passed a Breathalyzer test for alcohol but refused a urine test, resulting in an additional charge.
