Tiger Woods to return to golf at Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods is back.

The former world's No. 1 golfer and 14-time major winner announced on Twitter on Monday that he will play in the Hero World Challenge. The event, which Woods' foundation hosts, will take place Nov. 30-Dec. 3 in the Bahamas. He will team with Daniel Berger.

Woods has not played competitively in nine months after back surgery. He last played in the Dubai Desert Classic on Feb. 3 but withdrew due to back spasms. Woods had spinal fusion surgery, the fourth procedure on his back, in April. He recently began posting videos of him swing a golf club of varying increasing degrees.

Woods tweeted: "I'd like to thank the committee of 1 for picking myself and Daniel Berger to play in this years #HeroWorldChallenge."
