Tiger Woods has committed to playing in the 2022 JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor on July 4 and 5.
Woods, who returned to competitive golf in last week's Masters after a near-fatal car crash in February 2021, confirmed to Sky Sports after his final round at Augusta that he will play in the Open Championship in July.
The 46-year-old will use his trip to Adare Manor - his fourth appearance in the Pro-Am - to begin his preparations for The Open.
And it is a massive boost to the charity event, which has helped raise over €140 million for charitable organisations in the mid-west region over the past 31 years.
Woods held an emotional reunion with his close friend McManus in Augusta before the Masters and he will join Rory McIlroy, Leona Maguire, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau in the field, while celebrity participants include Mark Wahlberg and Niall Horan.
McManus said: “Tiger has been a great friend and avid supporter of the Pro-Am for a very long time and we are absolutely thrilled he has committed to play once again in the tournament.
“His presence at Adare Manor will undoubtedly bring huge excitement to the thousands of spectators and we are very grateful to him for giving up his free time to be with us.
“We’d also like to sincerely thank all our players, the DP World Tour, volunteers, and ticket cap holders for their continued support of the event as we endeavour to raise vital funds for charities in the region.”
