Tiger Woods’s private jet arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, early Friday morning, according to multiple reports. It was not immediately known if Woods was aboard, and the jet was believed to be back in the air again on Friday to return to the U.S.
TMZ reported that Zurich has multiple rehabilitation centers that cater to clients seeking privacy.
On Wednesday a Florida judge approved Woods’s request to be allowed to leave the U.S. to seek treatment following his arrest March 27. Woods was charged with driving under the influence after he hit the back of a trailer while driving on a two-lane road in Jupiter Island, Florida, and flipped his Land Rover onto its side. Woods was unhurt, but the accident and his subsequent failure of a field sobriety test resulted in the DUI charge. He was also found at the scene to have two hydrocodone pills in his pocket.
Woods pled not guilty to the DUI charge, and he is scheduled to appear in a Florida court later this month. He also released a statement, vowing to step away to focus on his health.

Earlier this week bodycam footage of his arrest was released. In the video Woods also mentions that he had a phone call, which he described as “just talking with the president,” presumably Donald Trump. Woods is dating the ex-wife of one of the president’s sons.
This latest car crash is Woods’s fourth notable vehicle incident. In 2009, he hit a fire hydrant outside his home, which quickly exploded into a scandal of numerous extramarital affairs that ended his marriage to then-wife Elin Nordegren.
In 2017, Woods was found asleep at the wheel while parked by the side of the road in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was arrested and charged with DUI, and eventually pled guilty to reckless driving, a lesser charge.
In 2021, he suffered his most serious physical injuries when he drove across a median in Los Angeles, off the road and rolled his SUV several times. Woods had multiple surgeries on his right leg and ankle. No charges were filed, but investigators said Woods was driving between 84 and 87 mph on a road with a speed limit of 45. Woods’s injuries continue to hamper him to this day, even as he appeared to be ramping up for a return to pro golf, possibly at the upcoming Masters.
Woods announced that he would not play at Augusta next week. He also took himself out of the running to be the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup captain.
