Tiger Woods prize money from The Masters 2019 confirmed - and he takes home millions

Tiger Woods has plenty of reasons to celebrate winning the 2019 Masters.

Over two million reasons, in fact.

The first major of 2019 is one of the most lucrative on tour because the prize purse is split up between a smaller field than in regular tour events.

To make things better for the players, the purse has grown to a whopping $11.5 million.

Thanks to that, Tiger Woods will has become the first Masters winner to take home a cheque worth more than $2 million.

And, of course, that’s not all he’ll receive.

Woods will take home his fifth green jacket, another trophy – which is a replica of the clubhouse – and another Masters medallion. He’ll also get to set the menu at next year’s Champion’s Dinner.

But that’s not it. He also picks up 100 world ranking points and 600 PGA Tour FedEx Cup points.

Even if you don’t finish on top of the pile at the Masters, you’re not going home empty handed.

Players who finish in the top 25 can expect at least $100,000 dollars and even players that missed the cut took home $10,000 on Friday.
