Tiger Woods had fans accusing him of giving up after one stunning shot on Sunday

Tiger Woods is not going to win the 2019 U.S. Open. He entered Sunday’s final round at Pebble Beach 11 strokes behind the leader, Gary Woodland, and then bogeyed the first two holes to fall even farther behind.

Tiger had high expectations coming into the tournament, considering how he’s won a U.S. Open here before in historic fashion. But he hasn’t been even close to his best this week. You have to think the cool weather hasn’t been great for his back, as the KT Tape seen on his neck Sunday is clearly a sign that he’s a bit stiff.

But one shot during his final round had lots of fans thinking Tiger might be mailing it in on Sunday. After his tee shot on the par-3 5th hole landed in the left rough, he opted not to try something heroic/difficult, which we’ve seen him pull off tons of times in the past. Instead, he chipped out across the green, away from the hole and eventually settled for a bogey.
