Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman files lawsuit to cancel NDA

Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend has filed a lawsuit in the United States asking for a non-disclosure agreement she signed to be cancelled.

Lawyers for Erica Herman, who had dated Woods since 2017, also claimed in a separate suit that she was locked out of the home she shared with him.

In this latest action, it is argued the NDA was no longer enforceable in the wake of President Joe Biden’s Speak Out Act, passed in December which limits an NDA in instances of sexual assault or harassment. There are no allegations of either against Woods.

The couple were last seen together during the US Open last August, with Herman filing her first lawsuit last October alleging she was tricked into leaving the couple’s home so she could be locked out.

The BBC quoted court documents saying: “Specifically, by trickery, agents of the defendant convinced the plaintiff to pack a suitcase for a short vacation and, when she arrived at the airport, they told her she had been locked out of her residence.”

She also said that £33,000 of her money had been “misappropriated”.

Herman had previously worked at the Woods Jupiter restaurant and said she was unsure over the terms of the NDA whether she can disclose “facts giving rise to various legal claims she believes she has”.

Representatives for Woods have yet to respond to the lawsuit being filed.
