Tiger Roll to take on two other Grand National winners at Dublin Horse Show

Tiger Roll is set to come up against two other Grand National winners at the Dublin Horse Show this weekend.

The 12-year-old, who won five times at the Cheltenham Festival as well as the English National twice, will compete in the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Racehorse to Riding Horse Championship on Saturday.

Among those competing against him are One For Arthur, who won the Aintree marathon contest in 2017, and General Principle, who was victorious in the 2018 Irish Grand National.

The former Willie Mullins-trained pair of Douvan and Black Hercules, who both recorded Cheltenham Festival victories, are also entered in the event, which takes place at the RDS Arena in Dublin.

Tiger Roll will be partnered by Michael O'Leary's 17-year-old nephew Ted, who is the Ryanair boss' brother Eddie's son.

The legendary horse warmed up for Saturday's event by taking first place at the Tullamore Horse Show last weekend.

Sharing two photos of Tiger Roll at the show, his former trainer Gordon Elliott tweeted: "Great to see Tiger Roll excelling in his second career.

"Congratulations to Ted and Tiger on bringing home first place at Tullamore Show."

Gigginstown have had success at the Dublin Horse Show event in the past with former Cheltenham Gold Cup titleholders War Of Attrition and Don Cossack. Judges will focus on various attributes including conformation, presence and their action in the arena.
