Tiger King 2: What happened to Carole Baskin’s ex-husband Don Lewis?

The mystery of Don Lewis, one of the Netflix documentary Tiger King 's most captivating questions, is set to be addressed further in the upcoming new season.

After the thrilling first season, many viewers were convinced that his former wife, Carole Baskin, had been involved in the disappearance of Don.

However, a new clip that was released on Monday, November 16, teased content from the upcoming season, which indicated that Don may have been involved with a number of shady characters who could have been dangerous.

People who appear to have known Don vouch that he got tangled in some tricky situations, with people who could have been dangerous.

According to Time, following the first season of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, it is understood the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office was spurred on to reopen the investigation to Lewis's disappearance.

What happened to Carole Baskin's ex-husband Don Lewis and will it be explored in Tiger King season 2?

The trailer for Tiger King 2 promises that the mystery of Carol Baskin's ex-husband Don Lewis will be looked into in greater detail in the upcoming season.

The former husband of big-cat-crazy Carole went missing in 1997 and was declared to be dead in the eyes of the law in 2002.

One of the guest cast members on the new series discussed Don Lewis and his disappearance in the new trailer. He said in Spanish: "He told me he was in danger," as he discussed Lewis' trips to his land in Costa Rica.

"He said it was over money. He had some problems with some people in the U.S. They were really bad men.

"I asked, 'Bad men?'

"He said, 'Very, very bad… They will kill you. Bang.'"

Another ex-boyfriend of Carole, Alan Schreier, can also be heard saying, in the clip, that Carole told him Don had been involved with an "unscrupulous type of people", and that he had done "horrible stuff to Carole".

"Maybe he stuck somebody for some money, and they caught up with him."

Another talking head who does not get a name given can be seen saying: "I believe he was a good man, but by the end, he made a mess."

Who has Carole Baskin been in relationships with?

As well as being married to Don Lewis, Carole Baskin has also been involved in a relationship with Alan Schreier.

Retired real estate developer Alan, now 70, detailed in the Daily Mail that the Big Cat Rescue star had a "very high sex drive", and "doesn't like people".

He added: "I was on a couple of dating sites in the late 90s and one day I got this email from Carole saying: ''I know you but I don't think you know me, but if you want to know me I'm in People magazine this week'" he is reported to have said.

"We got along and she was very attractive. We had a very good sex life, and she was quite affectionate with me.

"She told me that Don hung around some 'unsavory people'. She said he used to carry a lot of money around on him and she thought maybe somebody did something to him, perhaps kidnapped or killed him.

"Their marriage was faltering towards the end. She told me they were not getting along at all," he is alleged to have said.

It is understood Baskin met Schreier around a year and a half after Lewis went missing.
